Week of December 7

Lesson Plans for the Week of December 7, 2008

Monday:
Class will begin with the students copying the word of the week off the board.
Today we will discuss our “Christmas Carol” project.  The students will get a handout of the project and we will discuss what is expected.  To see a copy of the assignment, click here.
We will then spend the rest of the class working on stage 1 of the project.

Tuesday:
Today’s class will be spent in the lab working on our projects.

Assignment:

Wednesday:

We will spend class in our groups sharing the information we gathered for stage 1 of our Christmas Carol project
While the groups are sharing, the  students should take down important notes that will help them with stage 2 of the project.


Assignment:
    - WOW due Friday

Thursday:
As the students enter the room, they will copy down and correct grammar practice sentences from the board.
    We will complete a mini lesson, and a grammar worksheet will be assigned, due Friday.

Friday:

Today class will begin with a discussion of the poem “Come Home for Christmas.”
The rest of the class will be spent reading silently, practicing the strategy of summarizing.
