Students will reinforce and build upon their basic operations with whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percents. The properties of operations and simple equation-solving techniques are introduced. Study habits are emphasized by organized daily assignments which demonstrate problem-solving techniques, and by study procedures for tests. Students will be graded on assignments and chapter tests. Written assignments are assigned every day. At the completion of each chapter a test will be taken by each student. Each student accumulates points from homework and tests. Homework is 30% and tests are 70% of the grade.
