The following guidelines have been established in order to help each student fulfill their physical education requirement.  There are two categories for students who are not prepared to participate in physical education.
1.    Students who cannot participate in physical education because of a written note from a doctor will complete the following criteria:
      a.  excused for 1-5 consecutive days – completion of sports folios with a passing grade of           69% or better
    b.  excused for 6-5 consecutive days – one 750 word report
    c.  excused for 16-30 consecutive days – two 750 word reports

2.    Any student who does not participate in class because of a temporary limitation or illness must have a note from a parent or the school nurse stating the reason for not participating in class.  This exclusion from class will be granted for a maximum of two consecutive days only.  Each student must read two sports folios and take a test on each one.  If the student receives a grade of 68% or lower he/she will lose all participation points for the day.
