Insect Orders and Examples of Each
Here is a list of insects that can be found locally. This is not
a complete list of all of the insects; just a small sample. As
stated in the Science Insect Project letter, you are required to
collect one insect from each of these five orders (Coleoptera, Hymenoptera, Orthoptera, Lepidoptera, and Diptera,) and five additional insects from five different orders
that we have not studied to earn an A+.
